We are delighted to welcome Josefina Movillo Matta, Executive Director of FinteChile, to the AllianceDFA Board.

Josefina brings a valuable combination of legal, public policy and fintech ecosystem experience, with more than eight years working at the intersection of regulation, innovation and public-private collaboration.

We are particularly pleased to welcome Josefina’s perspective from Latin America as we continue to strengthen connections across our global network and create greater opportunities for associations to learn from one another, collaborate and shape the future of digital finance.

A Chilean lawyer and public policy expert, Josefina holds a Law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a Master’s in Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Throughout her career, she has worked with national and local governments on initiatives to modernise regulatory frameworks, strengthen financial markets and develop solutions with meaningful social and economic impact.

In her role at FinteChile, Josefina leads efforts to strengthen and scale Chile’s fintech ecosystem, bringing together startups, financial institutions, technology companies, regulators, policymakers and other stakeholders. Her work to foster innovation, encourage constructive regulatory dialogue and build bridges between the public and private sectors strongly aligns with AllianceDFA’s mission.

Commenting on Josefina’s appointment, Sarah Corley, Founder & CEO of AllianceDFA, said: “We are delighted to welcome Josefina to the AllianceDFA Board. Her experience working across policy, regulation and the private sector, together with her deep understanding of the Latin American fintech ecosystem, will bring an important perspective to our Board. As AllianceDFA continues to strengthen connections between associations globally, Josefina’s experience and collaborative approach will be a real asset. I’m very much looking forward to working with her.”

Reflecting on her appointment and the value of connecting markets and ecosystems, Josefina said: “Innovation accelerates when markets learn from each other. No country has all the answers, but every ecosystem has lessons worth sharing — about what works, what doesn’t, and how we can do better. I’m delighted to join the AllianceDFA Board and bring perspectives from Chile and Latin America to this global conversation. I believe that stronger collaboration between markets, industry and policymakers can help us build financial systems that are not only more innovative, but also more competitive and inclusive.”

Welcome Josefina!
