A more connected network creates more opportunities to learn, collaborate and create impact.
This month, we took an important first step in understanding how connected our AllianceDFA network is — and started creating more opportunities for members to build new relationships.
Our member feedback established a useful baseline: 65% of respondents currently know 10 or fewer members across the network, while some are already connected with 20–50 members. This gives us a starting point as we look at how we can deepen connections and create a more connected, collaborative network.
Bringing members together
Our first Members’ Mixers were designed to do just that.
Held across two time zones, the informal sessions brought together 34 attendees, representing 21+ countries and 21 associations. Four members even joined both sessions!
The feedback showed that there is real appetite for more opportunities to connect:
The Mixers will now become a quarterly opportunity for members to meet, connect and discover who else is part of the AllianceDFA network, with sessions held across different time zones to make them accessible to members globally.
For us, the value goes beyond the numbers. Every new connection creates the potential for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, introductions and new ideas.
Building a network where everyone can contribute
The Mixers also reinforced something important about AllianceDFA: the strength of the network is in its members.
As we continue to grow, we want to create more opportunities for members to connect across countries, associations and areas of expertise — while also creating more opportunities for members to take the lead.
That means moving towards a network where leadership, knowledge and collaboration are not concentrated in a few places, but can grow from within the membership.
The Mixer was just the beginning. We look forward to bringing members together each quarter and creating many more opportunities to connect, share and collaborate.
