We are pleased to announce that Dee Allen joins the AllianceDFA Board of Directors.
Dee expressed her delight at joining the AllianceDFA Board: “Alliance DFA’s mission of promoting financial inclusion and fostering a collaborative global network resonates deeply with my professional and personal values. My experience in capacity building and education, particularly in developing countries, positions me well to contribute to the Alliance’s goals of increasing financial inclusion and driving social and economic transformation through digital finance. I am deeply committed to these values and am eager to align my efforts with the Alliance DFA’s mission.”
Dee has an extensive background in law, academia, capacity building, fundraising, financial regulation, policy and fintech. Dee was Head of Capacity Building & Education/Lead in Regulation and Policy at the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, the University of Cambridge Judge Business School (CCAF), where she successfully trained over 1,600 regulators, policymakers, and fintech professionals from more than 300 institutions in 150 countries. She is now an advisor to the CCAF on the global FinTech and Regulatory Innovation (FTRI) programme, and she is collaborating with African, Asian, and Caribbean institutions to deliver the FTRI programme on a licence basis to fintech institutions and financial regulators.
Dee is currently developing an online MSc in FinTech for higher education institutions and a Senior Lecturer in Fintech and Financial Innovation at Teesside University in the UK. Her legal background provides a solid foundation for understanding and navigating the regulatory landscapes crucial to fintech and digital finance, company law, and corporate governance issues.
Sarah Corley, on behalf of the entire board, warmly welcomes Dee: “Dee’s extensive experience and insight into all aspects of the Fintech Industry will be invaluable to AllianceDFA and our members as we navigate new opportunities and challenges ahead.”
